How to build your Railjack in Warframe

warframe argon crystal

The Warframe Rising Tide quest is now playable and will allow you to make and control your own railjacks with real buds. You can’t fly these giant battleships just yet, but you can find the parts and build them before you start punching your fists from ship to ship and commanding your crew around.

Before starting the mission, you must have built a dry dock and explored the Railjack Cephalon. Dry docks are part of a clan dojo. So you must have joined a clan if you haven’t already. Once your dock is ready you will have access to two consoles – one of these consoles will allow you to explore Cephalon Cy, a no-nonsense AI for your ship. When you complete these two objectives as well as the quest “The Second Dream” you can start the quest “Warframe Rising Tide” in the lower right corner of your Codex.

Cephalon Cy tells you where to find the Railjack parts you need and what components you will need to fix them. There are six in total: hull, propulsion system, port nacelle, starboard nacelle, stern section, and bonnet. Do you want to find out the fastest way to make them? Then keep scrolling, dear Tenno.

How to complete the Warframe Rising Tide quest

Your first stop is Mars: this is where you will find the fuselage. The mission in which you defend the part as it is scanned will be highlighted on your navigation screen when you click on the red planet. You need to make sure there are no enemies getting anywhere near the hull and that you kill the two sentient drones that are trying to intervene.

When you’re done, go to the extraction point and return to your dry dock. Here is where Cephalon Cy shares the resources you will need to repair the hull:

  • 1,000,000 credits
  • 100 cubic diodes
  • 3000 plastids
  • 15,000 rubedo
  • 30 neural sensors

If you’re having trouble finding Cubic Diodes, check out our guide to farming Cubic Warframe Diodes. Repairing the hull takes 12 hours and cannot be accelerated with premium currency. We also have some tips to help you farm Warframe Plastids if you stick to it.

The mission to preserve the propulsion system is very similar to the fuselage part. The propulsion system is on earth. You know the exercise: find the highlighted mission on one of the nodes, defend against enemy waves while scanning, and remove Sentient Drones. Then back to your dry dock. Here’s what you need to fix:

  • 1,000,000 credits
  • 60 carbides
  • 1000 cryotic
  • 30 Orokin cells
  • 20,000 nano-spores

Like Cubic Diodes, Carbides are new to Warframe in the Rising Tide update. You will fall if you kill Eximus on the Ceres shipyard tile set. The repair of the drive system takes twelve hours.

The Port Gacelle is on Lua, and the mission is exactly the same as for the parts of the hull and propulsion system. That difference is that some battalions show up. So bring heavy artillery and aim at its weak point. By the way, these are their heads: their ammunition only goes through their chests.

When the scan is complete, extract it and return to the dojo. When you install it, a list will appear of what you need to repair the port nacelle.

  • 1,000,000 credits
  • 60 carbides
  • 5,000 switchings
  • 27,000 alloy plate
  • 200 control module

Now Cephelon Cy is sending you on another scanning mission to Venus. Follow the marker on your navigator and keep the area away from enemies. Note: the missions of the missions escalate the number of enemies. So watch out for drones and battalions. End the scan and return to the dry dock. Here’s what you’ll need to fix it:

  • 1,000,000 credits
  • 100 pustrels
  • 500 Fieldron samples
  • 50 morphics
  • 35 neurodes

Pustrels are another new resource that arrived with the Warframe Rising Tide update. and can be mined in the plains of Eidolon and only fall during the breeding of Red Veins Ore. The repair of the starboard nacelle again takes twelve hours.

Next up is the stern section on Sedna and it’s the same mission process as the other parts. Find. Scan. Defend. Go back to your dry dock and install the stern section to see what you need to repair this section of the ship:

  • 1,000,000 credits
  • 80 Copernics
  • 10,000 ferrite
  • 4500 polymer bundle
  • 15 argon crystals

Copernic is another new resource in Rising Tide and is available to be mined on Orb Vallis. However, it only falls off when Red Veins Ore is bred. Warframe Argon crystals are a difficult source as they can decay, which means the total number you have in your inventory halves every 24 hours, so farm them and use them right away. They can be found in missions in the void.

Your six planet tour ends here, with Europe being your final stop. It is the ultimate goal of collecting resources. So prepare for a hectic fight. It’s the same structure as before, but there will be more brutal enemies – read: more battalysts. When you’ve killed everyone, return to your dry dock to see the list for the hood:

  • 1,000,000 credits
  • 40 Copernicus
  • 500 Detonite ampoule
  • 10,000 ferrite
  • 10,000 salvage

After all that walking around, you should have everything you need to start building your Railjack. Their use in combat won’t be available until the Empyrean expansion, um, lands, but you’ve done everything you can to get a head start when ship-to-ship junk finally hits Warframe.
