Sure, you’ve played Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord a lot, but can you really call yourself a banner lord? If you’re only using Bannerlord’s standard game banner editor, probably not.
Fortunately, there is an online tool that you can use to create a custom banner, and surprisingly, it spits out some code that you can paste directly into the game. Create your banner and a second later, there it is in the game. No need to install a mod or anything.
There is already a subreddit for creative banners, and players have created some amazing ones, like this Ghostbusters banner from Reddit user Da_red_goez_fasta:
Get started by visiting the banner making site right here, courtesy of this bannerlord reddit member. Some testing is needed to find out how everything works, but you can add all the standard elements to your banner and change their size and color, add multiple shapes and images, rotate them, move them, etc. Once you have a layout that you are happy with, just copy the code directly below the banner window with Ctrl-C.
Now start Bannerlord and load your game. When in map view, pressing B will open the banner creation window. It sounds like it shouldn’t be that easy, but it is: just hit Ctrl-V to paste your banner code. There is no field or anything to paste it, just paste it directly into the game when the banner editor is open. Is magic.
